I have the honour to submit the following report on the raid recently made by me on a gambling establishment at No. 3 East Street and the consequences which have ensued up to the present date.

On the 16 June I received a Confidential Letter, of which I enclose a copy, from Mr. H. T. Francis D. C. stating that gambling was being carried on in a house at Ngau Tau Kok (the Chinese often use Ngau Tau Kok for Wa Lane) and Chung Ying Street, and that No. 3 East Street was honourable.
